Whenever I visit Ise Shrine, I always buy Akafuku. Akafuku is a mochi topped with red bean paste and is a famous Japanese sweets of Ise. Inside the Akafuku box is a beautifully illustrated letter from the president of Akafuku. The content of this letter changes every day and be always impresses me. Last year during the New Year’s holiday, I visited Ise Shrine and bought Akafuku. Here are the picture letters from that time, the top one for December 31, 2024, and the bottom one for January 1, 2025!
