In Hirosaki, Aomori, I visited the “Hirosaki Museum of Contemporary Art,” known for its collection of works by artist Yoshitomo Nara, for the first time in 20 years. I took the Konan Railway Owani Line (nicknamed the “Apple Orchard Railway”) to the museum because I had learned that the town where Yoshitomo Nara was born and raised is located along this line.
